Remedy for the Forsaken is a solo emo/hardcore punk project created in 2020.
The initial songs were written in two periods, first in the summer of 2020 and second in the early winter of 2021.
When George Floyd was murdered many people in my home city rallied and protested for justices and the end to police brutality. The city in response set a curfew and shutdown the protest very quickly. Seeing this happen was so infuriating just how my home city treated our community and criminalized us for demanding justice.

Now filled with anger and sadness I channeled those emotions into song writing.
The next group of songs I wrote were a few months later when I lost two of my closest loved ones due to Covid. My dad and my grandma. I looked up to my dad so much and my grandma guided me through my life and even in death I feel her still guiding me.
Well in the summer of 2021 I recorded a demo with a great friend of mine. It was barebones very D.I.Y. and very bad. It was just myself on bass and yelling and my friend on drums. (Honestly the drums were the only saving graces of the demo.)
Time passed and I shelved the project to focus on on my other music project The Bat Society.

Now here we are in 2026, still filled with anger and sadness witnessing more racial injustice, seeing genocides being committed in realtime, and seeing indigenous peoples across turtle island and the world lose more land and sovereignty. I decided to rewrite and record some of the tracks with new eyes and ears and now with guitars. I am working on releasing the new EP soon so, keep an eye on here or my TikTok.
In the meantime you can listen to the instrumentals demos down below.
